Too bad, so sad
Feb. 12th, 2009 12:56 amI'm sorry, you've all been replaced. I don't need you anymore. I don't need anybody but my totally awesome tv digital converter boxes. *humps them*
You don't understand. I have been without cable since I moved out of my father's house in 2004. The picture on my tvs has been shit. I've been looking at almost every channel through a haze of static for more than four years. Antennae only help so much.
I hook up the boxes and BAM! Instant clear picture. People and colors look so fucking clear and beautiful and I can't stop staring at how great they look. Now I can record "Medium." It's one of those shows that I really like but don't want to buy the DVDs if I don't have to. The past four seasons (is it four?), I've had to Netflix to see again with a nice, clear picture. And they're Macrovision Encoded, grrr. Now I can tape the show and be happy with it. ^_^ (That was one channel that came in way too bad to bother taping it.)
I'm also receiving a few extra channels. I'm not terribly interested in sports, 24-hour weather, or hour after hour of church services, but there are a couple channels of cute kids' shows. :D And an extra PBS channel! I haven't been able to see channel 2 since 2004. Weee.
Couldn't recommend the Magnavox dig converter boxes more. ^_^
I'm off to go spend time with my new digital husband! I call him Skeejenmisha. ^_^
