I got two more groups of 5 things that people associate with me to elaborate on. Yippee! What I find most amusing is that no one said SKEET ULRICH. XD

1. The Ring
When I was a teenager, I knew a group of guys who liked to memorize Monty Python movies. Although I always had a love for certain things (bands, tv shows, etc.), I really didn't understand that level of devotion to a movie. I thought it was odd.
Now, I understand.
"The Ring" and its Japanese predecessor, "Ringu," are my "Monty Python and the Holy Grail." When I first watched "Ringu," I had heard things about it, but I didn't think it was going to be that good. A movie about a cursed videotape, pffft. Teenage slasher stuff at best. I LOVED it. Gave me nightmares for two weeks straight, I am not kidding. Movies almost never scare me that bad. A little childlike part of me was truly afraid that I was going to die seven days after watching this movie. Then I got a hold of one of the promotional tapes for "The Ring," the American remake. I couldn't watch it. I had to make Nancy come over and watch it with me because I was so afraid of it. Then I made her come back seven days later incase we were both going to die. These movies scared THE LIVING SHIT out of me. That's why I love them to pieces. It's a very rare thing to find in a horror movie these days.
So I never stop talking about it. XD
2. Texas
I live in Texas. I love Texas. Texas is as close as I've been.
3. Smut
I write a lot of smutty stories. It's just something I have a knack for. In fact, I have a hard time keeping stories from taking a smutty turn, even when I want them to be gen. I've tried and tried to keep SJWTBH PG-13, and then a smutty, just about R rated sex scene sneaks into the chapter I'm working on now, and I don't want to tone it down. I can't win! I'm just a smut peddler.
4. Land of the Lost
My favorite tv show of all time. I think it's a crying shame that the first movie that gets made based on this show (and probably the only movie) is a lousy Will Farrell comedy, coming out this summer. LotL wasn't a fucking comedy. It was a terrific, spooky science fiction show written by some of the most classic sci-fi writers of the 60's and 70's. But because it was made by Sid and Marty Krofft, no one will take it seriously. Except its fans, and anyone who reads the list of writers. If someone worked on or wrote for classic Trek, they usually also worked on LotL. It deserves much more respect than it gets.
Plus, have you seen the show through adult eyes? Will Marshall has a tight fucking ass. XD
5. Sailormoon Dark
Well I would hope you would associate this with me, since it's my Sailor Moon fanfic epic. ;)
I also worked a soul-sucking job for four years and I'm a bit glad to be away from it. ^_^
1. Sid and Marty Krofft
As I was saying, I love the tv shows of S&M Krofft. Besides LotL, there was much big-headed puppet, colorful fantasy land, singing Brits, adventures in space, superhero car, and catchy song singing action for me to love.
2. Star Blazers
My favorite anime series ever. Of course, this is the dub version, but this is how I saw it, when I was six years old. It made such a strong impression on me that I could still remember certain scenes exactly as they happened 20 years and counting later. A really great series.
3. MST3K
I got into "Mystery Science Theatre 3000" in the mid-90's. I used to think that the point of the show was to enjoy and celebrate the horrible movies they watch, so I couldn't get into it for years. Then I caught a rerun of them riffing one of the Godzilla movies, and I like Godzilla, so I gave it a chance. And their jokes were really funny. I finally got it. They hate the movie just as much as I do. (In other cases besides when they watch Godzilla.) I've been a huge fan ever since.
4. Rene Magritte
Before college, I thought fine art was only for rich snooty people. Then they made me take a Humanities class in college. My eyes were opened, and now I see that art is for everyone. The first Rene Magritte painting I ever saw was in that class, a slide of The Human Condition, which is a painting of an easel with a canvas on it in front of a window. But what has been painted on the canvas matches up exactly with what is outside the window. It's hard to describe; you just have to see it. I thought wow, that is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. After class, I went right to the library and checked out a book on Rene Magritte. He's been my favorite painter ever since. I can't even begin to describe how awesome his work is.
5. The Police
One of my top ten favorite bands. Lots of great songs. They're the kind of band many different types of people could love, so they sneak into my stories as a band a character might listen to from time to time.
