sailorhathorI'm going to make this short because I'm too tired to type much. Ducky, I mailed your ducks but I had to send them media mail because everything else was outrageously expensive. I hope they get there okay.
I don't know how much I'll be around for who knows what amount of time. There's a notice on the building outside that says the electricity for the entire complex will be shut off on Monday, Sept 21, because the owner has not paid the bill. (all bills paid apt) The office has been closed so there's no one to talk to about this. I can't move because I have no job and nowhere to go. I know I haven't talked about losing my job but I guess I was embarrassed? I just didn't want to talk about it. They fired me for having too many absences during training, but they did acknowledge that my absences were unavoidable due to being so sick all summer. It doesn't matter; I hated the job anyway. I'm on unemployment. No one is going to rent to me without a job. I have no idea how the city is going to handle this. It's not legal for people to live in an apartment dwelling without electricity in Dallas county. I don't know if they'll make the owner pay the bill or what. I'm going to try to get up the energy tomorrow morning to call the city. I'm sure other people in the building have called them already. I hope they intervene so the power stays on.
I wish there was more I could do about this at this time, but I'm sick again, so sick that I couldn't stay awake today for more than a few hours. I'm going back to bed shortly. I'm not sure I even care. Life has been so up and down the last few years, I just don't have the energy to deal with it anymore. All I can do now is give it up to God and hope that I'll feel better tomorrow and that I'll still have power come Monday. It doesn't seem like I have much control over either thing.
