I'll put it all under a cut for spoilers.
Except that I'm sorry, Katie Cassidy, you're a beautiful woman and a nice actress, but I can't stand "Melrose Place." So boring. Get back on SPN somehow and I'll watch you.
I think I'm going to have to give up on "Glee." I'll probably watch one more episode and then move on. The musical numbers are really good, in general, but everything around the musical numbers is so full of ridiculous bullshit that I can't stand it. They treat serious situations like they're all light and funny; I don't like that. And what kind of idiot in this day and age actually believes a girl when she claims he got her pregnant when they didn't even have sex? Oh, you came while we were making out in a hot tub, and the sperm found their way to my virgin twat. Yeah, right.* He'd be crying for a paternity test on "Maury" as soon as it could be performed. You are NOT the father. 9_9 And the whole thing with the one chick and her hysterical pregnancy, and how she wants to get the teenage slut's baby so she can keep fooling her husband - in what universe would that ever work? Oh gee, slut teen, you were pregnant, but your baby disappeared, and for some reason I didn't see my own baby being born and now my wife has somehow shown up with our baby, and I believe it all! And the authorities won't even notice the baby exchange or care. Whatever, show.
* I know that it is medically possible for a girl to get pregnant by wandering sperm, but that's usually because the male cums on her, and it's very rare. The fact that any person would believe it without proof, no matter how sweet and naive that person is supposed to be, goes way too far off the belief meter for me.
I would also like to know which bonehead came up with the idea to have the white boy sing Kanye West's "Golddigger." HellOOOOO, the lyrics imply that he's using the N word. It's laughably inappropriate. I don't know if that number has actually been on the show yet, but I did see it on some of the commercials.
Lastly, I'm sick of the gay guy being the comic relief. Gay men are all overly effeminate, it's funny! Um, no. It's overdone and I just don't personally find it funny, not the way they're doing it. There's absolutely no subtlety to that character.
I'll probably wind up downloading mp3's of the musical numbers and not watching it anymore. I'm sorry to those of you who like the show; I don't mean any offense. I just don't get it. ^_^?
A small comment about "Flash Forward" that I forgot to make - I liked how the two FBI agents went around with blood and injuries all over their faces for hours because what had happened was SO big that they wouldn't even take the time to have their injuries tended to. It was too important to compare notes with their boss.
One more comment about SPN 5.03: I've seen some fans make comments about Dean's line that the stripper/prostitution industry is based on absent fathers and how much it bothered them. It did make me wince, but I don't find it an *offensive* line. How many times has Dean made true-but-cruel comments in the past? I mean, hell, how many times have we seen him lie to women to get them into bed? It's just a part of Dean's personality. Not to mention the fact that he's right. A large part of the women in those industries were abandoned by their fathers or abused by them. I wish I could believe that every stripper is there because she finds it a spiritual, happy experience, but it's simply not the way it is. The truth hurts.
