Looney Tunes

sailorhathorWhen I was a kid, I liked all the Looney Tunes - Bugs Bunny and all his pals - but they didn't really make me laugh out loud very much. I was over concerned with fairness, for some reason. It made me mad when one character wasn't doing anything wrong and another was really mean or unfair to them; it bothered me so much that it really affected my enjoyment of things like cartoons, where Bugs Bunny regularly made a fool of Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck. Kids get all freaked out over silly things sometimes. Of course, I still get annoyed with the whole fucked up triangle that is Popeye, Olive Oyl, and Bluto... XD
Anyway, now that I'm an adult, the Looney Tunes cartoons are like ten times funnier than they were when I was a kid. They truly made these cartoons for adults. There are so many subtle little things that I didn't notice when I was a child that make them totally hilarious. Just the voice acting alone, and the care they put into the animation...
I've gotten a bunch of discs of the Looney Tunes cartoons from Netflix and the only thing that's bothering me is it doesn't look like one of my favorites has been released yet. It is a cartoon called (according to the net) "Hare Brush," and for years I've remembered these lines from it: "My name is Elmer J. Fudd, millionaire, I own a mansion and a yacht." "Again!" XD At least I know it wasn't my imagination.
