sailorhathorOh how I loved this episode. Very, very funny.
- Old Dean was a hoot. When I heard Chad Everett was going to be on the show, I was like ooooooh, neat. He was a pretty famous tv actor back in the 70's and 80's; I certainly recognized his name instantly. He did a really good job. In fact, he did such a good job of convincing me he was still Dean that I wanted to throw him a pity fuck. Somebody get the Viagra.
- Whiny old Dean, rofl! "Oh, I'm having a heart attack!" "Great, more stairs." "Ohhh, my elbows! My back hurts!" XD Must be hard to go from 30 to 80 in such a short time. Even when it happens gradually, you still have a tendency to whine. XD And here we have a young man in great shape suddenly unable to climb stairs without becoming winded. No wonder he whined so much. There just wasn't enough whiny old Dean, IMO. I went, "Awwww..." when he was gone. XD
- The "Whiny Old Dean" music theme was great. I giggled and giggled at that music. Here comes Sam through the stairwell door, and... Dean's taking a little longer... cue the Whiny Old Dean theme!
- Old Dean macking on the cute maid, and her comparing him to her grandfather... lol! "You're adorable." And it just ain't happening, Dean. I'm so glad they read my mind; I really wanted that to happen.
- They actually made me get really tense. Jared sold his worry well. I knew Dean would be okay, but I still fretted about everyone's safety.
- The card game was a neat idea.
- I was kind of hoping that Sam would bet in the opposite direction and lose, and then they'd have old Dean and little Sam. XD But that's just because I really want a de-aged episode.
- Poor Bobby. :( I wish someone knew what to say to make him feel better and find a way to live again. He shouldn't be living alone there.
- I kinda wanted Cas to pop in and give his reaction to old Dean.
- Although I missed old Dean, I did like it when regular Dean came dancing out of the building. It was cute. ^_^ It would have been great if we'd seen him come on to the maid again and bed her this time. XD
- The story between the two witches was sad, how she didn't want to live anymore because she'd watched her family grow old and die and wanted to die too so she could be with them. :(
- I wonder what the male witch (Patrick?) got out of taking years off people's lives? Was he then able to give them to his lover or himself? That's probably it.
I think that's all I had to say. If I think of anything else, I'll add it.
SPECULATION ABOUT EP 5.10 BELOW. IF YOU DON'T WANT TO READ SPOILERS FOR THIS EPISODE, DO NOT READ ANYTHING BETWEEN THE *SPOILER* FLAGS!

Spoilers say that two supporting characters will die in 5.10. I'm thinking Bobby is going to be one of them now, after tonight's episode. I could see depressed Bobby taking his chance to go out like a heroic hunter by "taking a bullet" for someone else.
The other kind of scares me. I know that Ellen and Jo are scheduled to be in the ep. I was hoping Anna would be the other character to die, but I've seen no word that she's going to be on. So, unless they're going to surprise us with her, I don't think she dies. Unless she dies saving Castiel from Lucifer, hey, yeah! I like that idea. ^_^
So, that leaves Ellen or Jo. And there's supposed to be a Crossroads Demon in that episode as well. That makes me think that one of them dies and the other makes a deal to bring her back. If Ellen or Jo dies, I hope it does happen that way, because I don't want either character to die now. Jo has a chance to grow as a character and I kinda like Ellen. It'd be a shame for either to die before they've had a chance to really be used. Well, I guess we'll see how it goes.
People keep suggesting that maybe Castiel dies. All I can say is, yeah, right. The character's insanely popular. If they do that, they're nuts. The writers just killed him at the beginning of the season and brought him back! Cas dying would be stupid and pointless.

Haven't heard from the potential job yet. They have to contact me Friday if I'm going to start on Monday, so... a friend of mine better explained about background checks and now I feel a lot better about it.
