I've been out of the lj loop lately; hope no one on my friend's list had any major crisises I missed because I haven't read that page lately.

I forgot some interesting things about my Las Vegas trip. Or rather, about the bus ride.

On the way out there, the lady in front of me had two young kids with her. Her little boy was really young, about 2 I guess, and he started out being cute, but that quickly wore thin as I soon found out. He thought the best way to let his mother know that he wanted or needed anything was to go, "UH! UH! UH!" like a monkey at the top of his lungs. Hey kid, why don't you try asking for it? It just might work! Instead, no, loud monkey noises. In comparison, his sister was quiet as a mouse. I'm not sure I heard her ever open her mouth the entire trip.

On the way from Phoenix to Vegas, the bus had little television sets hanging from the top of the bus. I thought wow, what the heck are those for? The bus driver showed us MOVIES!! I couldn't believe it. I've never seen movies on a bus! I wish all the buses had that. Unfortunately he showed us Gone in 60 Seconds, which sucked, but still, movies on the bus! Then he showed us Shrek, which I had already seen on cable. Cute movie until the ending, which implies that in order for two people to be in love, both must be ugly, or it's not true love. :P Anyway, best part: The Gingerbread Man cries, "Eat me!" And then he and that dude, whatever his name was, do the "do you know the Muffin Man?" joke. XD

On the way home, I rode the bus with Big Ben! That's what I call the kid, because he went off every hour on the hour! "Waaaaaaaaaaah!" Not sure why the brat cried so much, but I am not kidding, the kid cried once per hour. Not a baby either, definitely a little older.

After this trip, I am beginning to think that Lots has a point with his "child free" ticket idea. I certainly would have liked to ride without those loud, crying children. Of course, to make it a perfect ride on Greyhound, you'd also have to have a "no crazy people" ticket option.
