Happy Birthday [livejournal.com profile] hunters_knight (the 15th) and [livejournal.com profile] senor_coconut_1 (today)! Sorry teh first one is a bit late; I was preoccupied.

Brochitis came back. Lovely, lovely bronchitis. :P It's on a schedule. It's been coming back every other month around the middle of the month since May. How does it know what day it is? So basically, every two months. The only time it has deviated is in September, when I got it around the 15th and then again two weeks later, except that the later attack was brief but still tired-making. It makes me soooooo exhausted. I had to go to the bank today to put some money in and I was toddlin' through that bank. I'm sure if I'd smelled like booze they would have thought I was drunk. Stand up, room spins, weeeee. An dmy memory gets bad. I keep forgetting to get light bulbs. It could be lighter in here. Bleeeeeh.

A little bit of good news. I made a calculation error. You know that extra $25 a week President Obama gave the unemployed as stimulus money or whatever? I thought it counted toward my total benefits, but it doesn't. So I have a little more money left in my account than I thought. That will get me through the middle of December. It will also give them mnore time to process my request for emergency benefits. Hopefully I won't need them. I'd rather have a nice job by then. But more time is always good (unless it's more time of listening to Shakira bleet out songs).

JOANNA, NOOOOOOO!! I can't believe she got eliminated. :( I didn't want Kelly Osbourne to go home, but not at ths cost of losing Joanna Krupa. She was such a good dancer. :( I know Mya is this big favorite but I've never liked her. I agreed with the judges when they said that it seemed like she was using gimmicks too much and dancing as if she didn't really want to win this. I've always thought that she dances like she thinks she's already won and so doesn't have to try as hard. There's this conceit behind it. The last couple shows, she's been trying harder, so she'll still probably win, but I don't think it's fair how they fix this competition practically every season. If someone is pretty much already a pro dancer (has had lots of dance training), they shouldn't be able to compete; it isn't fair.

Anyway, it was touching how Ozzy and Sharon jumped up and cheered for Kelly when she made it into the top three. ^_^ Kelly really thought she was going home. I did too! My mouth fell open about as wide as hers when they announced that Joanna was eliminated.

I normally don't watch DWTS, but I wanted to see how Kelly did. :D She'll probably go home next week unless Donnie Osmond trips and falls on a puppy or something.

The only major criticism I'd have for Joanna is that one dance they did that was supposed to be a vision into the future? That was ridiculous. I know the judges loved the hell out of it, but those two pretending to be robots, it looked so silly. It was like how we envisioned the future to be in the 1980's, with everyone wearing sparkly silver jumpsuits by the year 2000. Maybe I would have liked it better if there hadn't been an overload of ridiculous 80's Dumb Ways to Indicate We're OF THE FUTURE!! Other than that, she was Mya's stiffest competition.

Can someone serve as a secondary beta for the Miracles/Supernatural/Scream story I'm working on? It's due in about three weeks and I'm not finished with it yet, about 30,000 words so far. I'd like to get more impressions now so I can start fixing it before the due date. I honestly can't say how long it will be when I'm done; hopefully I'm in the home stretch.

Don't really need a grammar/spelling beta, just a flow/continuity/sentence structure/etc beta. The warnings on this thing are going to be LONG. In fact, some of this stuff even disturbs the hell out of me, but I don't think it'd be an honest story if I was examining how Billy became a killer and there weren't signs. A guy doesn't just go from loving and innocent to stabbing someone to death in 0 to 60.

The story has graphic slash and a het/slash threesome, self-harm, violence, knife play, suicide attempt, and a few disturbing scenes as we examine how Billy Loomis became a killer. The flashback sex scenes are underage (16-year-olds). There's also a scene where an OFC lets Billy act out a murder fantasy on her and I'm having trouble figuring out the warning for that one. I think that's the most disturbing scene in the whole story.

Pairings are Dean/Billy, Dean/OFC/Billy, brief Billy/Stu, brief Sam/Tatum (very innocent), brief Party Kids Sexanigans, and Dean/Paul. Phew!

I realize some of this could be triggering or squicky, but if someone has the stomach for this kind of story, I'd love your impressions. You don't really have to go over it with a fine-tooth comb unless you want to. I'm mostly looking for how did this make you feel, do you think this is honest, what did you like, what feels wrong, etc.
