I'll talk about the last two episodes of SPN whenever I get around to it. So little motivation.
Movies I have seen lately:
Urban Legend: How the hell could this movie have sucked more? No other ways, because it already sucked as much as possible for a movie to suck. The concept was good, the way it was carried out was stupid and lacking believability. And blond Joshua Jackson? Natural-colored-hair Joshua Jackson is bad enough. *shivers*
The Final Cut: This was actually pretty decent. I don't think I'd watch it again, but it was very thought-provoking and kept my attention. The premise is that your parents can pay to have a microchip implanted in your brain at birth that records all of your memories, everything you've ever done. When you die, someone edits your best memories into a memorial movie that people can watch at your funeral. This person has to wade through some of the bad memories to find the good ones, and make you look good even if you were a jerk. Now, while the movie was handled well, it of course brought up inevitable questions, like if you had been told you had this chip in your head, why would you ever do anything bad, knowing someone would see it? How could a parent ever keep that from their child for their whole life? You know as soon as your kid misbehaved, you'd be threatening, "You've got a chip in your head recording everything you do, and one day I'm going to watch the tape, so you make sure you be GOOD!" Either way, it's worth watching once.
Taxi: I put this in my queue before I realized I hate Jimmy Fallon. I got through about 38 minutes of it and turned it off. Couldn't be less funny, even if someone else had played Fallon's role. Stupid, too. A waste of Queen Latifah's talent.
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance: I didn't like it. I'm not sure who they wanted me to root for; I rooted for the person I thought was right and justified and that person was punished for their vengeance. Everyone was punished, even people who didn't deserve it. That doesn't leave me with an entertained feeling.
Save the Green Planet: I can see why people would think this was funny and quirky, but I didn't enjoy it. The ending was eye-rollingly predictable. I'm not a big fan of physical torture, either. I was amused with the fact that when the aliens blew up the Earth and we were shown scenes of the people of Earth reacting to the approaching explosion, suddenly everyone was Asian. XD
I've been on a quest to clear many of the potentially crappy movies off my queue by viewing them. It's working out well! So far, there's only been one I'd watch again.
