So let me interrupt your happy holiday weekend with a nonexistant but annoying problem. ^_^
I want to move as soon as I can afford it. So, in preparation, I have packed almost every last thing that can possibly be packed in my apartment. I want to be ready. When everything is in place, I want to be able to just GO.
But, of course, this has lead to, "Oh crap, I want that (insert thing here), but it's packed!" In hindsight, I should have left a few things that I knew I might need out, but I can't stand to tape up a box when there's still room in it. If I can fit even one teeny little thing in that box, I won't tape it up - that is unless I have scanned the entire apt and not found a single thing that will fit in that spot. Even my knick-knacks and stuffed animals are packed at this point, and they are great for filling teeny spots.
Anyway, so the muses are smacking me in the face with inspiration for continuing my WiPs, which means I need my little binders full of story notes. I am an organized little fanficcer! I knew if I didn't get them, I would forget something and kick myself later. And it was a nice distraction, getting out a few boxes and opening them up to find my binders. One particular binder eluded me longer than I wanted, but I found it on the second try. ^_^
The problem is, I was hoping to stumble on the manual for my cd recorder while looking for those binders, but it didn't happen. I'm trying to make some new mix cd's and somewhere, I'm missing a step, because when I press the button that as far as I know is supposed to start the recording process, the recorder just sits there like, ".....what?" I looked in several boxes that SHOULD have held that manual, but it wasn't there. Now my brain keeps harping on finding it. This could involve opening every damn box. Like I said, if there's even a teeny spot in a box that I can fill, I will fill it, which means the manual could effectively be in any box. I mean, I usually keep the books and binders together, kitchen stuff together, etc, but not with one skinny little manual. It could be anywhere. I could just download all the songs off Shareaza and make the CD's that way, to which my brain responds that that's silly when we can just make them with the cd recorder (much faster and easier). But that would involve FINDING THE MANUAL. ARRRRRGH!!! Somehow I have to get my brain to let this go until after I can move.
Gonna go to the store and get some nomnoms!
