I got a job. ^__________________________^

How did I get one so fast?

I LOWERED MY STANDARDS. \o/

I will be working for the Shriners soliciting donations over the phone. For Shriners Hospital for crippled and severely burned children and also for their campaign to send those children to the circus every year. WHY WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN?!?!

Yeah, ew, fundraising, just a step above telemarketing, but it's money and it's the ticket to my survival. Ya gotta buy a ticket to survive in this world, schweetheart.

I've actually heard good things about them, about how nice they treat their employees. I think I already had the job before I showed up. XD I sent the lady an email and she called me three hours later. Fastest job call I ever received. I start July 26th. My plan is to get a few paychecks under my belt and then go see a doctor about the bronchitis and see if I can get on some regular medication; I know this job will be hard on me otherwise. Hell, LIFE will be hard on me otherwise. Maybe I can move up in the company and get off the phones eventually. Maybe I'll just do it for a while until something nicer comes along.

What's good about fundraising for a nonprofit over the phone is it's better than selling anything over the phone.

Another nice thing: It's right across the street from a mall. Wee! If I feel like seeing a movie or something after work, I only have to walk across the street. The bus route is pretty schweet too. The bus that goes by this place runs every 30 minutes, all day. That's rare for DART.

Best part? Now I can RELAX. I can spend the whole weekend writing in my little stories. \o/ *Cartwheels*

Oh, and if the Computer Lab Assistant people call in the next week, I can interview for that job too. ^_^
