Writing! and such
Aug. 30th, 2010 11:00 pmYou know what pisses me off? That "America's Got Talent" is a talent competition for all sorts of acts, including some really amazing, unique ones, and America votes through the same typical singing acts. There are other competition shows for singers! Some really great acts went home last week, practically everyone I liked, and most of what we're left with are the same old singers. Yawn. I'm so sick of it. It happens almost every year! I mean, seriously, have you seen the prices for Vegas shows? Would anyone actually pay those prices for any of the singers left in the competition? I certainly wouldn't. 9_9 (Except maybe that little girl who sings opera like an adult. She's pretty amazing.)
Anyway. Now that I've written a bunch of new chapters for SJWTBH, I'm going to focus on my Big Bangs. Good idea to get them done now since they're all due at various times in the next few months. I've got the one for original characters - it's plotted out and just needs to be written. I've got the spnslash one - that one will be SPN/Miracles, Dean/Paul, and it's been plotted for years. Then lastly, there's the SPN/Miracles that I'm keeping a bit secret until closer to posting time because I'm terrified someone will guess the big twist if they know too much. I wrote up a summary for my own use to get me going and it seems Sam wants to tell this story from his own "I" POV. Alrighty, Sammy, you get your wish. The story is completely unrelated to any SPN/Miracles story I've written in the past.
Teaser summary:
The Apostle of Tarsus
"Castiel, what's the matter?" "Sam, I need to send you back to 1978. The man that you met is crucial to the survival of the human race." "Paul Callan?" "Yes. There was an incident in 1978 that put his young life in danger, and if I send you back, you, and only you, can ensure that he's around to grow into the man you see before you now." "Why just me? Dean can't come too?" "I can't tell you that. Just know that it has to be you, and that Paul's mother needs your protection. You must not ask where Paul is. You must not even mention his name. It will only bring the demons straight to her. They will be watching, as will I. Paul is in a safe place for now, and if you successfully complete the task set before you, he can return to his mother's arms secure and warm."
Sometimes, when I think of what Castiel did to us, I want to kill him. But most days, I thank him.
Eeeeeeeee. Can't wait, can't wait, can't wait.
