sailorhathorIs it too late to change my online nickname to Rabbit? 'Cause that's a cool nickname. Not only does it have the Sailor Moon tie-in, but a Twister one too. :) Meh, probably too late. I don't know, I just like it.
Yesterday we had some major tornado action here! Seven twisters touched down all over the Dallas area. It was kind of funny because I was out at the grocery store, and on my way home it was raining a little but nowhere near tornado level. Five minutes after I walked into my apartment, the warning sirens go off. I'm like, guh? Walking around outside looking for the tornado. (We're so jaded with the tornadoes here.) No tornado. Turns out they set off the sirens here because the storm (that one that was barely raining) was the same storm that had produced the twisters, but it had weakened considerably by the time it moved east over my city. So they set the sirens off just in case.
Anyway, there was just some damage from the tornadoes, no fatalities (although one guy drowned because he tried to cross a flooded road earlier in the day). The most dramatic thing that happened was an 18-wheeler getting blown off the road and thrown into a warehouse. The driver survived with almost no injuries. He said he saw the tornado coming down the road, tried to turn away from it, and the turn made his truck unstable enough to be picked up by the twister. Weeeeee, CRASH! Dramatic. Another guy was only blocks away from one tornado and filmed it with his cell phone camera. Lots of lucky people, not getting killed. All the footage is really cool.
