Elvira's Movie Macabre

sailorhathorAnyone else watching this? I've never been a big fan of Elvira or anything; I mean, she's okay, but she's one of those stars who's been around forever but you have no idea what they really do, like Charo. (Someone who used to go on all the celebrity guest star game shows and you had no idea what program they were actually from.) Still, there's nothing else on to watch on Saturday night at midnight, so what the hell. It's actually pretty funny for the most part. Elvira shows an old horror movie and pokes fun at it. You fellow Mysties will enjoy that! The only thing that could make it better was if Elvira made fun of the entire film, but she only pops in from time to time and does a host segment on her couch before the commercials. XD
Tonight she's showing "The Terror," a lame old Boris Karloff movie. Elvira's got this great dry wit when delivering her jokes about how awful the movie is. She got off a few good ones tonight.
Elvira: "Tonight we're showing an old Roger Corman classic, The Terror. They're getting real liberal with what they call a classic these days, aren't they?" (The dry, sarcastic way she delivered the second line was a hoot. XD And ROGER CORMAN?? NOOOOOO!)
Guy from the movie: "Do you know the road to (some town)?"
Elvira: "No, but if you hum a few bars, I can try it."
A guy in the movie is waking up, and he thinks he sees a beautiful woman he saw a little earlier. But once the blurry picture comes into focus, he realizes that it's an ugly old woman.
Elvira: "AHHHHH! It's like a bar at 2AM when they turn the lights on!"
XD Both of these made me LOL. I wish the MST3K guys would join her on this program, that would RAAAAAAAWK. What a combo that would make!
