sailorhathor | Music from the 60's

Hey guys, help me out here. I'm trying to build a character's musical taste and it needs to be music from the 60's in a rock n' roll vein. All the bands I keep coming up with that are perfect (Journey, Heart, Van Halen, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Billy Squier, etc) came along too late for the time period in which the story begins. What kind of stuff could she like that would be similar to those groups? I've already got Led Zeppelin, and The Eagles' first album just barely gets in there, and maybe the Beatles, although I'd like to branch out from the obvious.

I have to avoid bands that would've been controversial for being "Satanic," like Black Sabbath. The character is a little too religious to go that far.
