I did a little Googling to get a better idea on what is the difference between a pentacle and a pentagram so I have a better idea of what to call Sam and Dean's tattoos without getting too technical. I'm still a bit confused because there are so many different answers, but there are some that make more sense than others. There was this one site that had some very funny comments, though:

A pentagram a card you send to someone when you really hate them. A pentacle is a person who has five testicles.

Hardy har har! Five testicles, teehee.
