short subjects
Nov. 25th, 2003 08:55 pmI'm going to make a webpage to connect to my personal site with the list of "dumbest questions we all get on those e-mail surveys." Just something fun for my site. ^_^ Two new questions to add:
1). Can you lick your nipple? (Yokay... a question that may make sense on a sex survey, but on a regular survey? O_o)
2). Have you ever regretted anything you've ever done? (All I can say is, LOL! Who would actually be able to answer "no" to this? Not even psychopaths. "I regret getting caught!")
I've decided to work on this little site I've been thinking about for a few years which would be all about what the writing process is like for me. With pictures/artist's renditions of what the "people who rule my head" would look like if I could see them. Veruca, Oz the Narrator... I hope I don't sound like a freakin' nut. But it's just fun for me (and easier for me to deal with them) when I think of them this way, as if they are sort of outside of myself. Plus it would give me a place to put my huge list of synonyms for "said;" my manic essays on dealing with impatient characters, collaborative writing--my drug of choice, "character possession;" and other stuff I've written on... well, writing, heh. I'm kinda hoping someone will find some good advice in it, or perhaps relate and tell me, "Hey, that happens to me too!" so I don't feel so weird all the time. Like I need another new project to work on, heh. But it keeps me going. ^_^
I saw this commercial tonight for a construction toy called "Ello," where you can build your own miniature city with little people. This is going on my Christmas list! When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to play with was anything I could assemble, like a miniature paper doll city or a doll house with furniture. They used to make these cardboard paper doll-like things where you could punch out all the pieces and make a little city, or a little circus, a park, something like that. You'd match tab A to tab B, so on so on, until you had built a complete circus train with a tent and miniature animals. I don't think anyone makes these things anymore. (Although someone needs to revive it!) I LOOOOVED those paper doll sets. I'd spend hours assembling my little city, then I'd spread it all out over the top of my dresser and survey my domain. I'm the god, I'M THE GOD!
I remember there were times when I didn't have a set to build, so I would get paper and cut out my own little buildings and roads and make one. It always killed me to have to take them apart, but there wasn't enough space to keep them up all the time.
Anyway, this Ello set reminds me of all those happy times building my empire, muhahaha. I figure I can use it as a creative outlet. If I get one. I don't know how much they cost. I'd be willing to buy it myself if I had to.
