All the kids are doing it!
Apr. 27th, 2012 02:35 pmWiP Meme: Post the first sentence (or 3) from every WIP you're currently working on, even if it's very short. Then invite people to ask questions about your WIPs. With any luck, the motivation to take that WIP one step closer to completion will appear as if by magic!
I must be very different from other writers, because I don't have much to post here. I don't usually start a ton of different stories and write them all at once; usually, I start one story and finish it before I actually start writing another. So, I don't have sentences of ten or twenty different stories to post. Instead, I make notes. I've got ten or twenty different stories written out to the end in notes, which can sometimes be very detailed or just be "then they have sex and it's great."
Therefore, I'm going to post some of my notes for a couple WiP's.
The sequel to "Apostle of Tarsus," which is SPN/Miracles for those who didn't read the first part:
Something I learned from the conversation that followed: My brother is far more cynical and prone to be suspicious of other's motives than I am. I kind of already knew that, but our talk about how Castiel had fooled me brought it home more than ever. As I went through the things Castiel had told me and listened to Dean shoot it all down, I realized that I had been too anxious to help, too anxious to believe.

I started the next chapter of "Seize the Day, Suffer the Night" a long time ago, so long ago that it's on my other computer and I don't have access to it right now. Basically, I have written a few sentences in which Dean, Sam, and Brook are taken backstage at the club and their stripper friend begins to tell them about the problems they've been having, where patrons are spontaneously combusting while being given lapdances (it's a bit cracky).

Notes for an SPN story I have to finish by mid-May, "Some Kind of Lunatic." (That's a tentative title, which may or may not change.):
Day 1: "The Tide is High" Blondie
Dean begins receiving voicemails with songs on them, snippets that are about one minute in length. His caller ID says WITHHELD because the person has blocked him from seeing who he/she is. Their choice of song has him thinking it's a secret admirer, and he starts trying to think of who it could be. Sam rolls his eyes.
Day 2: "Knock on Wood" Amii Stewart
More disco? "I don't approve of her choice of music, but I like the mystery she's trying to create."
Day 3: "One Way or Another" Blondie
"This woman will not be denied!" Sam isn't so amused. The song sounds "stalky" to him, its tone worries him. Dean tells him to stop riding the stick up his ass so hard.
*****
The next story in the SPN/Miracles Brokeback Mothman universe (these are notes):
Ruby/Robin is helping Evie clean out the closet. She takes the Damnation board game out and somehow, it is dropped. The crystal ball falls out and is broken in two. It zaps Dean and he is also split in two halves - the Sex Maniac and the Overzealous Hunter.
Yes, there will be Dean/Paul/Dean, where Paul is in completely over his head. Both of them.

I do have notes for other sequels/chapters, but their all written out longhand. My WiP's are all sorely in need of an update.
