I'm writing this letter to give you a sense of what I'm looking for in a Yuletide story. Many authors like to be given some idea of what their recipient might want as to simplify the writing process. If you find you can't work from any of my suggestions, it's okay; I just wanted to make sure I gave them to you in case they turn out to be helpful. :)
Fandoms: Nirvana, Foo Fighters, The Following (TV)
Warning: There is some very frank sexual talk in this letter.
In general, I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to pairings, if there's going to be one. Het, slash, femmeslash, threesomes, poly groupings, it's all good. I'm squicked by the extreme stuff; I like my bondage vanilla and flowery, and I'm not into bodily excretions that normally make their home in the sewer. Other squicks: Crossdressing and overfeminization of men. Male pregnancy, vore, necrophilia. Triggering squicks: 69 and spooning while cuddling (spooning for sex is fine).
In case you're not familiar with "squick" as fandom slang, it means something that grosses you out/turns you off.
Orgasmic secretions are great and much appreciated. I read some of everything - consensual, seduction, dub-con, and non-con unless otherwise noted.
What do I mean when I say "and it turns into sex"? Anything from kissing and groping/caressing, oral, frottage, to going all the way, with moaning/vocalizations. Bringing each other to orgasm would be great. Some dirty talk is cool as long as it doesn't get ridiculous.
Some of these requests have nothing to do with sex, though. Like, half of one. :D

I was reading through some articles about Dave Grohl and came across the story where Courtney Love accused him of making a pass at Frances. *eye roll* She also said that Dave was "sexually obsessed" with Kurt. And I thought Dave/Kurt... that's pretty damn HOT.

A few story possibilities, in no particular order (numbered only for ease of listing):
1. There was an article in Rolling Stone, I think, where Courtney said that Kurt had some bisexual tendencies. He was going to stay over at Michael Stipe's house (the lead singer of R.E.M.) and she gave him free reign to have sex with Michael if things went that way. When Kurt came home, she said he was really quiet and wouldn't tell her what happened. What I would like to see is Kurt brings Dave along because he's really freaked out and nervous over the possibility of having sex with one of his heroes. Instead of serving as a possible cockblock, Dave serves as the fulcrum to help ease everyone into a hot threesome.

I couldn't figure out a way to nom Michael Stipe in this fandom; I figured he'd be rejected since he was just a friend of Nirvana's and not a member of the band. So I realize you may not be comfortable writing a character you could not offer. That's why I have more ideas! ;)
2. A story dealing with the infamous Trees show in Dallas from October 1991. Did I mention I'm from Dallas? I put up a post about it HERE because I have personal involvement in what happened that night. Please be warned that I rant at Kurt quite heavily in that post. His behavior that night made me very, very mad. What I would like from this story is fixit!fic. Dave chastises Kurt for what he did, Kurt is truly sorry, and Dave expresses concern for Kurt's safety. It turns into sex from there.
No non-con/dub-con involved here, please.
3. This picture.
Wuff! At first it really disturbed me that I reacted to Dave sucking his thumb like it was hot because I have no interest in an adult acting like a child or being treated like one in a sexual context. That squicks me. There's just something so cute about Dave sucking his thumb and the look on Kurt's face here. I was thinking more of a setup where Dave sucks his thumb to deal with stagefright/anxiety/whatever and he feels dumb and embarrassed about doing it, so he hides, but Kurt catches him. Kurt finds it kinda cute and hot and wants to help Dave relax, and guess what? It turns into sex.
No non-con/dub-con involved here, please.
4. Story dealing with this video:
Kurt hands the baby off to Courtney and finds a place with some privacy for him and Dave to continue the cookie feeding until... it turns into sex! It was so cute and funny that Kurt just randomly decides to mess with Dave and feed him a cookie while he's trying to talk. Please no Courtney involved in the sex. I don't care if it's an open marriage thing or Kurt's full-on cheating here - me no like Courtney no more.
5. Kurt and Dave are subject to a sex experiment where they're fed very effective aphrodisiacs and locked up in a room together. The stuff slowly starts causing you pain until you work on satisfying those sexual urges. Of course, some dub con would probably be implied here. Go!

6. Stop the presses!! Just the other night, I read an old Kerrang article from which I quote: "In 1995, Grohl invited (Nate) Mendel to his house for Thanksgiving dinner. He neglected, perhaps sensibly, to inform his new buddy that he believed his house to be haunted by a ghost, or indeed, that it was his intention, post-celebratory, to try to contact said spirit. When Grohl brought out a Ouija board, the house's uninvited guest signified its displeasure by rocking the dinner table. Mendel along with all the other guests, "freaked out", recalls Grohl." (!!!!!!)
You just have no idea how happy it makes me to know that Dave is into this stuff enough to not only think his house is haunted, but to try to contact the ghost on, of all holidays, Thanksgiving. What happened??? Was the ghost Kurt? Was it something dangerous pretending to be Kurt? Has the ghost followed Dave from house to house? Who/what is it? What, what, whaaaat?! You can probably see the potential for slash or gen here.

I especially like the "when I was in the basement, it always felt like someone was standing behind me" and "while walking up the basement stairs, it always felt like someone was chasing me" aspects of the story. Spooky cool! Feel free to keep any of this that serves your story or discard what doesn't.

Ummmmm... although I don't believe it happened in real life, I'd totally go for a story about Dave seducing Frances Bean at 20 (I think that would have been her age at the time) in the back of a car and them going at it. (I'm going to hell for this one.) Would love a long buildup with lots of seductive foreplay where he has to get her really wound up before she reciprocates.
Just a few ideas. If none of them inspire you, I would simply like Kurt/Dave in some capacity. No Courtney or Krist involved in the sex. Not really into non-con/dub-con in any of these scenarios unless otherwise noted.
If you're not comfortable writing sex, Kurt and Dave interacting as friends would be great. Maybe running around being goofy, having a good time with Frances in tow or something. Or go alternate reality! Kurt and Dave are hunters of evil supernatural creatures! They're trying to survive after the end of the world! (And it turns into sex? Or not?) Kurt and Dave have a ghost hunting TV show!

I've been on a HUGE Foo Fighters kick this summer. Here's the result! Mostly I want Dave/Taylor here and am not incredibly picky. However, I would prefer this happen in the context of an open marriage for both guys rather than a cheating scenario.
A few story possibilities, in no particular order (numbered only for ease of listing):
1. Dave and Taylor are two of very few survivors after the world has ended. They're trying to find a way to survive and deal with the loss of their families. Their efforts to comfort each other definitely do not turn into sex. Oh wait, yeah they do.
Please no zombie apocalypse. So over it.

2. This one could be controversial. Dave and Taylor's families go on vacation together, leaving them behind to hang out and write music and shit. They begin to experience spooky, scary supernatural goings-on that lead them to believe they are being haunted by Kurt Cobain. What does Kurt want? Suggestions: He wants Dave to know that he did not kill himself - Kurt was murdered. What do Dave and Taylor do about it? Can they prove it? If this idea is too much for you, maybe Kurt has an urgent message for someone he loves. I could see this being Gen or Slash.
If you do like the "Kurt was murdered" idea, but don't believe the "Courtney had him killed" theory, remember there are many ways a person can be coerced into suicide or made to look like they committed suicide. Like maybe... BADASS PARANORMAL SHIT?? (All in a fictional sense, of course. I'm not saying Kurt was really killed this way.)
Please no "Dave wants Taylor because he looks like Kurt" crap. Taylor and Kurt have the same hair color (most of the time), but they don't look anything alike beyond that.

Something set in the time period between "The Colour and the Shape" and "There is Nothing Left to Lose" (1999) when Dave had the house and home studio in Virginia and spent his days writing/recording songs, drinking, and hanging out with Taylor and Nate Mendel, having cookouts every night. It sounds like a good time. Could be Slash or Gen. Nate can "go to the store" a lot if it's slash. XD

What kind of "horrible shit"? Can it be sexual? Can Taylor be involved? Can Dave not be too much of an asshole, but there be manhandling/rough sex? Maybe? Huh?

Oh God, how do I explain what I want here...? Um, okay, the show is twisted. So I would really like some twisted fanfic.

1. Mark and Luke growing up. How did they become such casual killers? Why did Mark develop the phobia of being touched? What made them so twisted? Twincest is okay if you're comfortable writing it, but it's not required. I loved how protective they were of each other as well, so I'd love to see this in the story over one being mean to the other.

bm_shipper had an idea during the first season that I liked so much that I asked her if it was okay if someone wrote it if they were so inclined, and she said okay. Her idea, which is slightly AU but could be made to fit into canon with some creativity, is that Jacob was actually working with the FBI undercover to infiltrate Joe's cult. He was also romantically involved with Mike. OOH don't you see the first season in a whole new light now?? It would have explained a lot of his behavior, wouldn't it?

4. Mark and Luke channel/contact/conjure/get possessed by an infamous actual (dead) serial killer! (Not Joe, God no!) What happens from there?
For the record, I don't like Joe much. I'd prefer he not be in my story.

5. Mark and Luke haunt Mike FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!! Sexual stuff would be good here. (I don't mean necrophilia. I mean more like ghost groping and sex dreams put into his head. XD)
6. Luke and Mark are skilled in the dark arts. They get a hold of a grimoire and know how to use it to make the lives of the FBI hell, especially Mike. Sexual stuff would be cool here.
7. Bm_shipper is at it again! She told me about an au fic she read that had some creative pairing of Luke/Max. I know! Whaaaaaaat?! How does THAT work? How about Mark/Max/Luke??! Serial killer!Max??! Sounds hot!
If none of these ideas spark your muse, just about anything concerning Mark and Luke or Mike would make me happy. They are my favorite characters on the show.
Please, no major character death (except for canon deaths). Not really into Mike/Ryan or Mike/Max (unless necessary).
Another hint that I hope will help if you're writing Gen or just something other than my suggestions: You simply can't go wrong packing the story with lots of BADASS PARANORMAL SHIT!! I love that stuff.

Oh God, how do I explain what I want here...? Um, okay, the show is twisted. So I would really like some twisted fanfic.
A few story possibilities, in no particular order (numbered only for ease of listing):
1. Mark and Luke growing up. How did they become such casual killers? Why did Mark develop the phobia of being touched? What made them so twisted? Twincest is okay if you're comfortable writing it, but it's not required. I loved how protective they were of each other as well, so I'd love to see this in the story over one being mean to the other.

2. Mark and Luke capture Mike and um, tied up dub-con sex ensues. Go as far as you're comfortable with. However, I'm squicked by physical torture.

bm_shipper had an idea during the first season that I liked so much that I asked her if it was okay if someone wrote it if they were so inclined, and she said okay. Her idea, which is slightly AU but could be made to fit into canon with some creativity, is that Jacob was actually working with the FBI undercover to infiltrate Joe's cult. He was also romantically involved with Mike. OOH don't you see the first season in a whole new light now?? It would have explained a lot of his behavior, wouldn't it?Jacob
4. Mark and Luke channel/contact/conjure/get possessed by an infamous actual (dead) serial killer! (Not Joe, God no!) What happens from there?
For the record, I don't like Joe much. I'd prefer he not be in my story.

5. Mark and Luke haunt Mike FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE!! Sexual stuff would be good here. (I don't mean necrophilia. I mean more like ghost groping and sex dreams put into his head. XD)
6. Luke and Mark are skilled in the dark arts. They get a hold of a grimoire and know how to use it to make the lives of the FBI hell, especially Mike. Sexual stuff would be cool here.
7. Bm_shipper is at it again! She told me about an au fic she read that had some creative pairing of Luke/Max. I know! Whaaaaaaat?! How does THAT work? How about Mark/Max/Luke??! Serial killer!Max??! Sounds hot!
If none of these ideas spark your muse, just about anything concerning Mark and Luke or Mike would make me happy. They are my favorite characters on the show.
Please, no major character death (except for canon deaths). Not really into Mike/Ryan or Mike/Max (unless necessary).
Another hint that I hope will help if you're writing Gen or just something other than my suggestions: You simply can't go wrong packing the story with lots of BADASS PARANORMAL SHIT!! I love that stuff.
AND IT TURNS INTO SEX!!
