sailorhathorI was eating my lunch and needed something to watch during it (told ya, I grew up with the tv constantly on), so I watched this week's "Angel" finally. I didn't think it was as good as some of you seemed to think. But I never got into that storyline with Conner. The only parts I really liked were the ones with Spike, surprise surprise. "Don't touch my clipboard!" And calling Angel "Broodypants," muahahahhahahaha! IiiiiiiLIKE it! Now I need a Die Broodypants icon. XD
Demon guy who came out of the bottle had some fun lines. There were just too many scenes which I would call "pity fuck" scenes. These are scenes put into any show that are just there to give the actors who have nothing to do that week something to do. Such as, the scene with Lorne in it, and the scene with Gunn in it. Simply weren't needed, were just put there to give the actors something to do. So, when they wrote that scene, they gave Gunn a "pity fuck." Wait, is it Lorne? I have no idea, I don't watch this show enough. They had to bring Spike over here and make me tape an entire season...
(Like, with "Miracles," they often gave Evie pity fuck scenes. Sometimes they were slightly necessary, but often, Alva or Paul just didn't need to call her to find out about something she never called them back on. Just an excuse to show Marisa in her nightgown (can you say "Battle at Shadow Ridge" boys and girls?).
I do like Illyria though. With her huge shoes, anime battlesuit, anime hair, and shiny eyes, she's cooler than Fred ever could have hoped to be. Has anyone realized that she's kind of the new Anya/early Cordy, though? She says many inappropriate things. "His body warms. This one lusts after me." That's totally Anya.
