I finally remembered to watch TV Land's Kitschen tonight, where they're showing several Krofft shows for another month or so. Between shows, the announcer said that Sigmund and the Seamonsters was about "two boys learning to cope with the loss of their parents while hiding their seamonster friend from the authorities." XD We never ever saw Johnny and Scott's parents on the show, did we? They were mentioned, but all we ever saw was the housekeeper. Like my friend Karen once said, "Maybe they were so hip and cool, they didn't need any parents." XD I enjoy good jokes about my favorite childhood shows. The only ones that bother me are the excessive drug use jokes. Except for one time when this guy on a mailing list said, "I watched H. R. Pufnstuf again and I am convinced that Sid and Marty were puffin' stuff." Harharhar!

But who out of the children who watched this show *didn't* want to live that life? Your own ultracool clubhouse in the backyard, a weird little monster friend who hangs on your every word but is also a big neat secret, and NO PARENTS to tell you what to do! Just some hip housekeeper who gets frisky with the local sheriff. XD
