sailorhathorThank you Mother Nature! The thunderstorms were supposed to get here this afternoon, but I go out there around 4 and the sky is blue and clear as a bell! IiiiiiiLIKE it! So I get my wheelbarrow and my bags of dirt and I get the dirt all put out where it needs to go, which took much bush pruning because they had been growing wild and were in the way. :P I had to use the only clippers I was left with, the little ones, but for some reason the bushes in this particular flowerbed were like cutting through semi-hard butter, so it wasn't that bad. About 45 minutes after I finished, it started to rain. WOOOOOOO THAT ROCKS!! Thank you for being kind to me, nature! I've used up my good nature karma for the month, but at least I got this done before the storms came. It's nice to get a break. ^_^
It's been really windy, but so far, no huge rain storms yet. Just some minor storms so far. I think I will transfer those kicks I gave myself in the butt to the weather guy for making me worry. :P
"Angel" was decent last night. All I really care about is whether or not the character or two that I like will live. It was funny watching Illyria and that dude play "Crash Bandicoot." Their reaction to it was cute. And Lindsey, RRRREOW. I need an icon of that boy. WUFF. Hawt.

The commentary is really funny until you get about halfway through, then it loses its steam. But the porn titles are still pretty humorous. My favorite line is the one about being cheated out of four of the seven dwarfs. XD
You know what else is really funny? "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge." (MXC) Sometimes the dubbing is stupid, but it's still a scream to watch grown people take a header into a mud puddle or ride a tricycle around an obstacle course. The best part is when they have people pick a door to run through and the door turns out to be a plank of wood, and the person runs headlong into it, BOOSH!! It amuses me! The announcer voice-overs are usually pretty funny too.
Last night I was looking at stuff on ebay and I got really mad at how many sellers overinflate the price of postage to make up for what they didn't make out of their auction. EVERYONE does it. It's soooo frustrating. If you want a certain amount of money, just put it in the base price! Sheesh. I mean, I've been mailing video tapes very regularly for over ten years; I know how much they cost to mail. It does NOT take $5.50 to mail one tape inside the US!! If you're charging for mailing materials too (envelope or box) then SAY SO. Here's my rant to Moosie about that from last night:
Sailorhathor: $4.00 for Media Mail shipping?!?!?!! For one tape???!! That's CRAZY!! You have no idea how overpriced that is for shipping. Shit.
Sailorhathor: Media Mail is like throwing the tape on the back of a mule and sending it through Pepe's Mail Service. That should be maybe a buck. Geez, they must think every person who reads these things is ignorant.

Sailorhathor: well it's frustrating!! :D I've used Media Mail before. I got a box once that had HOLES KICKED in the side of it. It's a really shitty way to send packages. I once got a Media Mail package with a CORNER BURNED OFF. It's not worth that much money.
So, no, I don't think very highly of MM shipping. XD
