SPN "Dream a Little Dream of Me"
The African dream root thing was a really nice idea. I liked that a lot. Some of the big revelations weren't so big, though. I'd give this one another "meh."
I just don't care about Bobby. I wish I could love him like everyone else, but he has no basic individualistic personality. He dresses like every other hunter and he looks like a redneck. (Is there an official hunter uniform or something?) His character just doesn't do much of anything for me. I mean, it's taken a really long time to learn anything personal about him, and it was another thing that made me go "meh." Is there a single hunter on this show that hasn't gotten stuck in a situation where they had to murder somebody and the supernatural was to blame, but the authorities would never understand? It's old.
Sam dreaming of Bela? I am sick. Where the hell did that come from out of nowhere? They gave her this absolutely deplorable personality and then they insist on forcing the character on us at every chance they get. Oh sure, it makes so much sense for a guy to fantastize about a woman who shot him and almost got him killed, who doesn't have a single redeeming characteristic. I thought Sam was smarter than that. I was hoping they would reveal that Bela made Sam dream that as a joke, using the dream root. But no. Puke. Sam should be with Ruby! *angry face* He can't be paired up with BOTH girls! That's a threesome not even I can stand behind!
The only part I really liked was Dean finally deciding that he wanted to live.
I don't really like the statement that Dean got his taste in music from John. First of all, I don't see John as a metal fan at all. I can see the classic rock and the Led Zeppelin, but I highly, highly doubt that John ever listened to freakin' Metallica. Dream Dean had to be leaving something out there.
That snapping sound effect was odd. I can't snap. Never have been able to.
Oh, I also liked Dean saying that he and Dream Dean were going to get into a fight, like Superman and Evil Superman from the junkyard scene of Superman III. XD I saw that movie in the theatre! The robot lady scared the shit out of me.
And it was funny when Sam yanked out some of Dean's hair. I wonder if there are bloopers where mischievous Jared really yanked out some of Jensen's hair. :D You have to ingest some of the other person's body in order to enter their dreams, huh? *perverted stuff comes to mind... OF COURSE*
I hope when they get the Colt back from Bela that they shoot her with it.
Next week's episode: One of the greatest Repeat the Day episodes ever? Xena: Warrior Princess - "Been There, Done That." An absolute laugh riot. "Rise and shine, everyone. Rise and shine." "I'll rise, but I refuse to shine." Next week's SPN looks more like a serious ep, but I truly hope they sneak some comedy in there when Sam gets really crazy from having to repeat the day so much. I thought they were going to switch the eps and show next week's ep two weeks from now, though. Guess not.
